Famous oatmeal cookies

3 / 4 cup vegetable shortening

Water 1 / 4 cup
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups, and oats
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt (optional)
Soda 1 / 2 c. Tea

Oven to 350 Beat shortening, sugar, egg, water and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Add remaining ingredients and mix well combined. Drop by rounded teaspoon on a greased cookie. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
Makes about 5 dozen cookies.

For variety: chopped nuts, raisins, coconut or chocolate chips.

This is the recipe straight from the can hope that it works for you.

Use the recipe on the back of the upper part of Quaker oatmeal. Nice I like biscuits filled with spices, raisins and chopped nuts sometimes add texture and flavor. try to mix the raisins and dried cranberries ...
If you get a cookie recipe that I always do half the butter and half, moved w / sub butter flavored Crisco. Power of the browser, and rich full-bodied. I also use an insulating air-stick baking sheet that has an airbag that is, it is located between the upper and lower. It is perfect for baking cookies. You do not burn so easily and distributes heat evenly.
